What is Invisalign?
Searching for Invisalign Kansas City? Invisalign is a convenient way to treat teeth problems that braces traditionally have fixed. Instead of having to have metal brackets and wires in your mouth, Invisalign helps bring your teeth into alignment gradually through a series of plastic aligners that look similar to whitening trays and most often no one will know you have them on!
Why is it important to have straighter teeth?
Besides aesthetics, there are several reasons why it is important to have your teeth in alignment.
Straight teeth function better and reduce the risks of tooth wear and fracture which can result in expensive restorative procedures
Straight teeth are easier for you to keep clean thereby reducing your risk for periodontal disease
Straight teeth reduce the risk for pain and dysfunction in your TMJ
How Long does Invisalign take?
Each patient is different. The first step is to come in for a consult and examination and we can see more what you are looking for and if Invisalign is the right treatment for you. Then we will take impressions of your teeth which are then sent to the Invisalign lab where using advanced 3-D modeling to create around 20-30 sets of custom-to-you aligners. Over the course of a year (sometimes longer, sometimes shorter), these sets of aligners will bring your teeth closer and closer to perfection.
